Job Summary:
Objective 1: Develop Tools
· Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures
· Monitor all project activities and progress towards achieving the project output
· Recommend further improvement of the logical framework
· Develop and monitoring and impact indicator for the project success
· Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system
· Set up of an effective complain & response mechanism for the Galkayo and Hiraan
Base
Objective 2: Monitoring Progress
· Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results
· Monitor the sustainability of the project’s results
· Provide feedback to the project manager on project strategies and activities
· Suggest strategies to the project manager for improving the efficiency and effectives
of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing
plans to minimize or eliminate suck bottlenecks
· Report monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual project status and progress on all
project activities to national project director/ project manager
· Weekly field visit and follow up
Objective 3: Reports
· Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project
· Provide input, information, and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to
project manager
· Participate annual project reviews and planning workshops, and assist project
manager in preparing relevant reports
· Assist the project personnel with M&E tools and in supporting them in their use
· Perform other duties as required
Qualifications/ preferred competencies
· Bachelor Degree in Management
· Good English communication both in written and verbal
· Team building skills
· Detail oriented
· Motivational skills
· At least 3 years’ experience of in M&E/ Project Management
· Familiar with the use of DDG system
· Experience with resilience/livelihood programs
· Previous experience in monitoring multi-year programs
